Speaker: Tsuguhide Nagase – Head of the Instagram Japan Business / Brand Development Lead

Since Facebook’s acquisition of the channel in 2012, Instagram growth has exploded, with 300 million active users, 30 billion photos shared, and an average of 70 million photos posted per day.

People are engaging with Instagram posts on levels unparalleled by any other social network. According to Forrester research, Instagram user interactions with brands is 400% higher than on Facebook and Twitter, delivering 58 times more engagement per follower than Facebook and 120 times more engagement per follower than Twitter.

So how can brands start building an Instagram presence? And how do you start engaging with followers to drive sales?"

Tsuguhide Nagase will give us a thorough introduction how to utilise Instagram most effectively for marketing.

Tsuguhide Nagase joined Facebook Japan in March 2014. In October 2014 his role changed and he became Head of the Instagram Japan Business which he successfully launched in May 2015. His main responsibilities include the creations of the business model, management of the agencies and brand partners and the revenue generation. His strength is business development and the ability to manage the total marketing process including Digital and Brand Development.

Prior to Facebook Japan, Tsuguhide has worked in a wide range of industries including Companies such as KDDI, JWT, Unilever and Nu Skin. He has worked both local roles and APAC roles including being stationed in Australia.
